Paid an international contractor via crypto today…. We’re all in agreement this many years later that it absolutely is not an efficient way to transact whatsoever… right?

@blessThisMoney It’s horrendous and not possibly a currency anyone is going to transact with any time soon lol

A couple rules of entrepreneurship I’ve learned over the years: 1. The goal is to eliminate “jack of all trades” employees as fast as possible. (Necessary to have some in the beginning) but your employee who does sales, customer service, and manages the phones wont scale

2. If you have an opportunity to grow a personal brand and the resources to systemize the content vehicle behind it… do it. It has opened more doors for me that have directly impacted ALL of my business’s bottom line than just about anything else I’ve done.

3. Every single thing you are ever pitched that sounds like a slam dunk and too good to be true will almost always is The agency you hire to blow you up, the employee you headhunt to run a dept will give you headaches one way or another, etc. Temper expectations always.

4. In person events for your industry feel like a waste of time and money and resources but holy crap you absolutely have to get friends that are in your trade. I have convos in my messages still ripping with people I met at home service events in 2021.

View on X →Most businesses we talk to about Home Service Accelerator think they just have a marketing problem But in most cases we spend 45 minutes with them and see they actually have a "the owner is doing everything himself-poorly" problem But yeah let's talk about Facebook ads

The amount of home service owners doing over $500k+ a year who still answer their own phone is insane to me You are the bottleneck dawg You've always been the bottleneck

Every once in a while someone comments on my YT video where I talk about how I have a dedicated appointment setter that just hammers old leads and says that doesn’t make any sense. Let me introduce you to 100% remote workers from rural states and global talent brethren.

Hey have you thought about using AI to make your business more efficient and serve more people therefore hiring MORE people to keep up with your newly revamped and more efficient biz? I like that idea far more than the dream state being eliminating more humans from your payroll.

@Lndscpguymatt I think if you really lock in on global talent hiring for 1 week you’d find a weapon for less than $2500 a month

View on X →I’ve found that worst part about firing an employee isn’t the firing part. It’s the anguish leading up to the firing part. Shorten that window between deciding and doing it and you realize it’s 5 minutes of actual discomfort that has been plaguing you for days.

I fired a crew member for being a soft handed weenie in 2022 and his mom texted me to tell me how mean I am for firing him after he no call no showed 2x. His mom picked up his final check. It has come to my attention that he’s a furry now. How neat

I put off dedicating an appointment setter for the lighting biz for too long. This isn’t her only job responsibility but she calls old leads every day for about 2-3 working hours. Cost per appt cut in half compared to relying on closers trying to do it themselves. https://t.co/O…

I am a full blown tard who still runs my business like an idiot in a lot of ways. But man, the best thing that ever happened to me was working for the worst possible sales manager ever in 2017-2019. @sodacitysimpson I interviewed a guy who sold solar to be a closer for Home Service Accelerator. Told me he makes $600k a year doing solar sales. I said “man $600k a year doing solar sales… what are you wasting your time on this $100-$200k closer role for?” Silence.

I’m finding one of the things I consistently overlook is sales rep/technician training and practice setup. I see massive companies doing daily role plays, weekly performance reviews with objection overcome trainings from things seem that week, etc. Gotta be better there
